A Break out box (BOB) is a passive device to be inserted between two wires connected equipment. It acts as test point panel and/or patch panel for several lines, each line with specific gauges (from AWG22 to AWG8). It allows the insertion of measurement point or discrete components.
It can route either signal lines, either power lines.

It is used during AIT/AIV phases for investigation purpose and failure simulation between spacecraft equipment.
