Housekeeping and communication are used during AIT / AIV phases for flight equipment sensor / actuator simulation and management.
Since the first SCOE delivery, TM/TC have always been proposed. A first generation of TM/TC interface was based on standard COTS interfaces and specific heterogeneous electronic boards.
Since the early 2006, a disruptive innovation based on FPGA technologies introduced SyCTRL (cf. section 3.1.7).
SyCTRL is designed to simulate up to several hundreds of various types of IO, in particular:
> Analog / digital parameter measurement and monitoring
> Sensor simulation (thermistance, voltage / current source simulation…)
- High power command (HPC) simulation (mono or bi-polar)
- Strap and switch simulation
- RS485 communication
- MIL-STD-1553B communication (Bus Controller, - BC, Remote Terminal – RT, Bus Monitor – BM) with full redundancy, multi bus management, off line management tools and error insertion
- Controller Area Network (CAN) communication
In addition to these standard features, SyCTRL proposes a huge number of complex FPGA functions, like for example:
> complex measurement and monitoring functions, in particular delta parameter computing, HPC authorisation management
> front panel display and command
