A ground Monitoring and Control system is a mix of electronic and software means aimed to drive an industrial process thanks to sensors and actuators.

A Monitoring and Control systems is mainly composed of 3 functions:

  • A Man-Machine Interface (MMI) which displays not only basic information read from the process close sensors, but even complex synthesis derived from these sensors and computed by the system. These informations are displayed either on mimics, either on plot basis, either on a grid values basis.

  • An on line archiving and logging function which stores the history of the various acquired values, the various alarms and events and allows to post process (replay, display and process) these outdated information.

  • Close to process computation units, typically Programmable Logic Controlers or hard real time processors which ensure on one hand, the interface between the process (sensors, actuators) and the back office units (MMI, ...) and on the other hand, the real time and the close loop automated processing, in particular control and regulation functions (Proportional-Integral-Derivative - PID - ...)

In this frame, we master all the necessary technics to design, develop, integrate, install and commission complex Monitoring and Control system in most of the industrial markets.
