Load simulator: representative power consumption of flight equipment

The Load Simulator is aimed to simulate power consumption of spacecraft flight equipment.
Mainly, a load simulator is used during AIT/AIV phases and is based on static (RLC) and/or programmable loads (electronic).

It can simulate up to several hundreds of loads with first or even second level over voltage and over current protection.

Load simulator architecture is based on commercial of the shelf (COTS) items (static, electronic loads, PC etc.) and enhanced by Clemessy’s SyCTRL products. This ensures high safety (second level protection), reliability and easy maintenance. It is designed as self-standing equipment with its own local GUI, fitted with self-test function and safety loop. Whole equipment is embedded in standard industrial 19” rack.

We offer the following options to improve usage of your SCOE:

  • Static load power-on status (local or remote)
  • Local or remote static load switching (On/Off/Short circuit)
  • Individual front panel test points
  • Specific sensor simulation (thermistor, cell sample, switch, etc.)
  • Mains isolation transformer unit
  • Remote control via TCP/IP interface
  • Mini rack
  • Auto-test features
  • Interface harness (ambient, vacuum, bio-burden cables, bulk head to vacuum chamber, savers etc.)
  • Re-usable container
